The faculty of Economics and Law trains professionals for various branches of the national economy. Apart from fundamental economic education, which is the basis of all the fields of study, the students may opt for a certain area of specialization. Methods, instruments and techniques of action and communication
are the core of various university disciplines included in the syllabi of cycles I and II.

The students of the Economics and Law faculty acquire knowledge and skills that will enable them to pursue successful careers in the fields of economic analysis, risk assessment, public policies and economic communication.
The faculty comprises 6 chairs:
- Economics
- Economic Training and Business Communication
- Social Management
- Geography and Environmental Economics
- Civil Law
- Private Law

The faculty provides instruction in the following fields of study and areas of specialization:

Economics – highly qualified specialists to pursue careers in various branches of the national economy: organizations, financial institutions, trade companies, state and local public administration;

Economics and Human Resources Management – specialists in recruiting, selecting, employee professional orientation and performance appraisal; compensation, work process organization, and other human resources management issues, employment and union movement.

Public Administration Management - specialists for state and local public administration management;

Economic Training - the only specialization in the Republic of Moldova designed for students who want to pursue successful academic careers in universities or make the best use of non-academic opportunities in economics;

Economics and Environmental Management - highly qualified economists in environment protection and use of natural resources;

Economic Law - highly qualified specialists in jurisprudence and economics, to fulfill positions in the Ministry of Justice, Economic Police and Fiscal Departments, Organizations, Customs and Notary Offices, the Lawyers Association, and Public Administration.

As of 2005, following the adherence of the Republic of Moldova to the Bologna Process, the faculty provides education and training in 3 fields of study - cycle I, and 10 Master’s degree programmes - cycle II.
