FOREIGN RELATIONS

The Academy of Economic Studies places special emphasis on cooperation with other local and foreign higher education institutions and research centres. The first years of AESM activity saw the development of bilateral agreements with AES, Bucharest, the University “Al.I.Cuza”, Iasi (Romania), the National Institute of Economic Research of the Romanian Academy (Romania).

Beneficial relations of coope-ration with the Omaha University of Nebraska (USA) create various academic exchange opportunities and facilitate students’, teachers’ and researchers’ access to the advanced economic science.

AESM has built close cooperation relations with the French Alliance and the Francophone University Association, the International University of Andalusia (Spain), the University of Economics of Cracovia (Poland), the Academy of Commerce, Svistov (Bulgaria), Grenoble Graduate School of Business (France), Brauschweig Technical University (Germany), the University “Pierre Mendes” , Grenoble (France), as well as the State Academy for Housing and Communal Services, Kiev (Ukraine), the University ”L.Blaga”, Sibiu (Romania), the University “Valahia”, Targoviste (Romania), the University “Dunarea de Jos”, Galati (Romania), the Universities of Oradea, Pitesti (Romania).

As of 1991, hundreds of academic teachers and researchers of AESM have had the opportunity to carry out short- and long-term internships in more than 20 countries.
Furthermore, AESM takes an active part in the implementation of TACIS projects, alongside with other university centres of the European Union. The first of the joint projects was undertaken in cooperation with the Academy of Economics, Koln.

AESM academic teachers and students take part on a regular basis in the scholarship exchange programme offered annually by the German Academic Exchange Service. At present, 150 students from the Ukraine, Pakistan, Russia, Turkey, China, Azerbaijan, Congo and other countries study at AESM.
