AESM NATIONAL COLLEGE OF TRADE
The National College of Trade, a post-secondary education institution, was founded in 1945 as a Tekhnikum of Soviet Trade and reorganized into the National College of Trade, pursuant to the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Moldova of 28 June 1991. On 1st September 1998 it became a functional subdivision of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. The National College of Trade of AESM that celebrated its 60 th anniversary in 2005, trains specialists for various branches of the national economy by providing post-secondary specialized education in: 1809 “Commodity Science”; 1810 “Accounting”; 1810 “Trade”; 2902 “Tourism”; 1001 “Law”. The college facilities include a library, classrooms, an assembly hall, laboratories, and a sport complex. The college benefits from professional assistance of the AESM teaching staff. In 2005, the number of the NCT alumni has reached 24 thousand individuals who entered professional careers in economy and services and 1347 lyceum students have been awarded the diploma of Baccalaureate. More than 80 % of its graduates have continued their studies in national and international higher education institutions.
At present, 842 students, divided into 34 academic groups, study at the college. Both qualified senior and junior teachers actively contribute to the day-to-day teaching activity of the college. Among the 69 college teachers, there are 2 Doctors of Science, 4 teachers with the highest didactic degree, 14 teachers with 1st didactic degree, 18 teachers with 2nd didactic degree, 6 Doctorate students, and 4 Masters in Economics. The teaching staff is divided into four chairs: “Exact Sciences”, “the Humanities”, “Economics and Trade”, “Finance and Accounting”.
The college campus includes: - Building “D” of AESM equipped with the necessary material resources; - Library holding a collection of 78057 works and periodicals, and a reading hall; - 3 laboratories equipped with computers connected to the Internet; Extracurricular activities: Annually, the college students take part in regional and national competitions in different disciplines, and specialized conferences. The interested students may attend traditional and sport dance groups organized at AESM. |
