FACULTY OF ACCOUNTING

Viorel TURCANU
Dean, Prof., Dr. Hab.

The legislation stipulates that any business, either small or large, must keep record of its business accounts. Hence the services of an accountant are called for. Accounting is an increasingly evolving profession that has to face new challenges of the information society and knowledge-based economy.

The faculty curricula ensure professional knowledge, skills, values as well as ethics and adequate attributes to train competent economists (accountants).

Accounting is a highly demanded field, primarily, due to its increasing prestige in the society, the role of an accountant in the company and a qualified professional development at the faculty.

Upon completion of a 3 year on-the-job training, the faculty graduates can take special exams at the Ministry of Finance and be issued a certificate of an auditor.

The faculty academic staff is well known in the country both as qualified teachers and experienced professionals in accounting, economic analysis and auditing.
